Kate is a Research Officer within the Mental Health Systems and Services research stream in the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research’s Policy and Epidemiology Group. She has previously worked as an exercise physiologist, where she worked primarily with people suffering from chronic illness.
Kate’s past research focused on evidence-based policy designed to build health systems resilience to disasters. Her current research is centred on evidence-informed mental health servicing planning. She is a core member of the UQ technical development team responsible for the refinement of the National Mental Health Service Planning Framework (NMHSPF) and training of users at jurisdictional and sub-jurisdictional levels.
